4 armor slots

The resulting armour provides 25 or 35 projectile protection. They also come with a saddle. The only downside is that wooden horse armor requires a tech tree that requires 420 scrap. However, it is worth it in the long run.

Almost all horses have 400 total health, though the Bay breed has 440. When attacked, your horse will try to flee. Horses come in different colours, and their mane and tail are dark. Once you find one, its stamina will be low, but feeding will heal the horse and increase its total stamina. After 30 seconds, the horse will tire and slow down. It will start trotting again, but will soon tire.
